How can cockroaches make money coffers just by raising or cultivating, of course, this article will be discussed in detail.

The most important things that need to be prepared in starting this cockroach cultivation are:

1. PREPARING PROSPECTIVE PARENTS

In choosing a prospective broodstock, of course, choose a mature age, not too young and not too old, because if the broodstock is not suitable, it can affect the number of children produced later.

If you are too young you will need a little time to wait for the harvest because Dubia is young and not yet of productive age will not produce children even though they have been married and usually the prospective child will fail to be born.

And if they are too old, their productivity will be according to Dubia's because the older Dubia will be prone to death and the resulting children will be slightly reduced when compared to their mature age.

Choose the number of sires more females than males because if there are too many males it will actually cause fights between males and can cause death in one of the males.

My suggestion is that if you have 10 broods filled with 7 females and 3 males, so that competition between males can be avoided a little and the marriage can still take place.

2. PREPARING FEED

Because cockroaches are omnivorous or all-eating animals, it makes it easier for us to maintain them and in matters of feed, it will be easier to obtain.

In general, the feed that can be given is in the form of vegetables or fruits such as Carrots, Siamese Pumpkin, Potatoes, Melon, Mango, Watermelon, and other fruits or vegetables that are around you.

You can also give ready-made and sold feed such as chicken pur or pork pur which can be found in bird or poultry traders around where you live.

3. PREPARING THE CAGE

The cage or maintenance container here is also very important because if you choose the wrong cage, it can also be unfavorable for the cockroach, besides causing the production of chicks to decrease, it can also cause the death of the prospective broodstock.

Because the Dubia Cockroach is not very reliable in climbing slippery vertical walls, it's a good idea for you to use a container made of plastic, acrylic, glass, and other media so that the cockroach is not easy to climb.

Then make sure the air ventilation in the cage is fulfilled so that the inside of the cage is not too stuffy and humid because if the air is not good the chances of the cockroaches to survive are also getting smaller.

Then also make sure the temperature and humidity are stable because temperatures that are too cold also cause cockroaches to be lazy to mate, while if the temperature is too hot it can cause cockroaches to die easily as well as high humidity makes it easy to die.

After the temperature and humidity have been met, the next step is to prepare a container where the cockroaches hide so they are not easily stressed and also minimize the occurrence of encounters between fellow males.

The hiding place that is commonly used is the egg tray or Egg Tray which you can easily find at egg traders around your house.

4. MARRIAGE

Usually the productive age of the Dubia Cockroach is around 6 to 8 months and the way of breeding is the same as other types of cockroaches that lay eggs and give birth (Ovoviviparous) and the offspring that can be produced can reach 20 more per breed.

My advice is that you make a marriage cage that is one with the care of the children because if it doesn't become 1, you will have more difficulty separating the parent from the child later.

So it is better when the separation of the offspring and the parent is done after about 2 to 3 months from the time of marriage or when it is seen that there are cockroach chicks.
